Re: Going to the darkside- Maybe

Thanks Ryan and James for the support.

If VW Canada does buy back my car I will get a Honda with hopefully less headaches.

Re: Going to the darkside- Maybe

Ok Here's my list of Warranty Work:

                          1)Foam running rails twice

                          2)Door seals - twice

                          3)mirror housing

                          4) Rear windshield wiper hosing.

                          5) rubber around VW symbol on trunk cracked allowed water into trunk Replaced that.

6)Temperature sensor on Engine - Gas tank would hit have a tank of gas and service engine light would come on and stay on.

7)Dash where gages are speed etc... a small piece broke off and was floating around in sealed unit.

8)Sidemarker drivers - blinker - water condesation inside- Seal toast - replaced

                          9)Ground Wire on Engine Coil

                          10) heated Seat recall x 2

                          11) ground wire in light above rear view mirror messed up caused buzzing noise - cleaned ground wire for this.

                          12) Peeling door handles

                          13) Cracked Stereo

                          14) Ding in dashplate dressing dealership did but refuses to replace it

                          15) rear headrest pin jammed on passenger side couldn't remove the headrest.

Those are the ones just off the top of my head - I have 22 pages of Warranty Work in 2 years don't tell me it is just bugs that need to be worked out. This car keeps getting new issues cropping up every 3-6 months and I am so tired of it.

The dealerships haven't been helpful in BC or here and I'm getting tired of the time they waste by having me come in only to say we don't have all the parts here come back NEXT WEEK!

BTW - My car doesn't have a blockheater/ PAN HEATER and I'm afraid the dealership will screw that up and I'll have even more problems.

Does this explain things even more?

I would say Echo RS, auto trans, ac, almost everything you need. Wicked little car. When VW starts getting smart on design for longevity of a product I will go back to driving one.
