How hard do you guys think it would be to move the stuff from the passenger side of the engine bay - fluid resovoirs mostly - to the right side of the engine bay? Anyone want to take a guess at what would be involved?

Do we dare ask why?
I assume it wouldn't be THAT hard, but mostly just a painstaking and tedious job either re-fabbing brackets, or finding a place to use the existing ones

I am thinking you may end up having to source smaller containers from different makes if your stockies wont fit on the other side.

Might be easier if the battery was relocated to the trunk at the same time?? I think the key is really just finding a location to mount them, then it would be just rewiring and plumbing.

Try not to relocate anything to the trunk. Front weight bias on a higher power front wheels drive car is your friend.

I could really use some space on that side of the engine bay for other things... there is PLENTY of room on the driver side since I have no airbox. No need to source smaller containers or anything.

I think you whoever said that brackets would need to be refabricated is probably right. They'd need to be made and drilled and bolted into the metal... hmmmm that is a lot of work.

What all is on that side of the engine bay? There's the spherical engine coolant resovoir, and there is a square resovoir with a green lid (power steering?) as well as the windshield fluid behind the headlight. Is there anything else thats bulky and not just hoses?

Brake fuild is about the brake booster. I think you have everything there Kris. I would move the washer to the drivers side and just move the the power steering and coolant forward. It is alot easier to repipe a washer pump then if yould be for the other two and there might be some inverse effects by moving them.

Yeah. the problem with the powersteering and the coolant is not only their location, but their hieght in relation to the engine. The coolant reservoir moreso than the steering, but they are designed to be the highest point in the system in order for you to be able to eliminate air.....

Yeah I thought about this a bit, I guess they are gravity feed, but I should be able to get them at a similar height on the other side of the engine bay... anyhow this thread has given me some cool new ideas
