Re: Tires??
Honestly man? I don't have a tire preference per say... I really like different tires for different things...
For pure, hardcore sport without regard to anything but dry traction (excluding true R compound tires), I would lean towards the Falken Azenis RT-615. Very wicked levels of dry traction for the Street/Autocross enthusiest...
For the serious street enthusiest who doesn't mind spending bigger dollars and wants to keep civil manners in the most possible situations including dry, wet, relative wear, some comfort, etc, I lean towards the Toyo T1-R (although this is a new model, the last generation T1-S was always a good ol' standby), or the Bridgestone RE 050's...
For someone who wants to get tires that are still relatively cost effective, but on the higher end of performance on this scale, but wants it for all around performance use, the new Kumho Ecsta SPT is getting a lot of great feedback so far, but again it is new and the long term results are not in yet. The Toyo Proxes 4 is also another tire I would have no problems running on my own car.
For the person who wants to spend as little money as possible and just wants a tire with elevated performance levels above stock, with basic all around performance use, the Nexen N3000 is pretty tough to beat. We have been selling these for a while now, and everyone who uses it for what it is meant for, seems to like it very much for an economy oriented sport tire.
As always, everyone will have different preferences in driving feel, brand, etc, but these are some of my personal picks.
