  • Reverse Rake

Has anyone had any trouble with first putting on a cup kit or other such suspension, then adding in a trunkload of stereo equipment, resulting in reverse rake? I want to go H&R, but I've got two 12's to put in the trunk, but I don't want to screw the stance. Anybody have experience or know if this will be a problem?

    Re: Reverse Rake

nah thats why all kits the back is slightly higher than the front so when you do add trunk goods it will level it out.

        Re: Reverse Rake

Stonewall has reverse rake (sorry but it's true) but I think he's just got the sport suspension not a cup kit.

Unless your box for your subs is CRAZY heavy I wouldn't think you'd have a major problem.

If you do put a lot of stuff in your trunk you may get reverse rake. You could take out your spare tire, or get stiffer springs.

Ya, when Mike and I went camping last weekend there was definatly some reverse rake going on with teh whips haha, trunks were loaded...we also used our rims as anchors for tarps...damn rain

generally my car sits pretty even tho, FK kit was pretty good for that

Actually no I don't. I have the suspension off a 20th AE but the car does sit lower due to the extra weight of the motor and stuff in the trunk.

                    Re: Reverse Rake

How about tying a big brick under the hood? No more reverse rake, and a cheap way to lower your car.

                        Re: Reverse Rake

I heard people put extra bump-stops at the rear to level out the car.
