Also the newest version of software is for the new cables with dongle only as the activation is built into hardware, the only wasy to use those OBD cables etc is to use a very old version of the software(which is no longer updated).
When I exchanged emails with them, this cable seemed to do everything the competitors did. I am not aware of the sample size, but I have never had mine fall off, and from what they said it works with all 2004 vehicles (bought in 04) with the Dual K line or something like that
Either way, 71 compared to 2XX is an easy choice for me!

This is kind of interesting, if you read the Sun a week and a half ago, there was a kid who was in an accident in February of this year on Glenmore, with a 2001 GTI, anyhow, he did this whole press thing thanking EMS for our work....I think this was his car...he was in rough shape!

where do you find these wrecked cars? Do any of them have usable aftermarket parts taht you are not able to use on the A2's or mk3?

Yep I saw that, it was in last weeks Wednesdays issue of Sun.
Car doesn't have or I wasn't able to find that little sticker with accident report number, location and date. It usually takes 6-8 weeks for insurance to sale the car, that accident was in January and I got the car last week (I saw it 3 weeks ago), it said he rolled 4 times that car defiantly looks like it rolled few times.

The shareware version is old software and very limited though.
Chris what is the ballpark range you have been paying for wrecks?

There was a thread about the Mojave Beige GTI a couple months ago...if its the car I am thinking about it has Rieger all around (front, sides, rear) with the Subaru hood scoop thing, had Mille Migila's on it. Was repo'd by the bank (original owner...), some Hyundai dealership bought it at the auction and probably sold it I guess. Hope that driver was ok because that is one really totalled car.
