It's really amazing how many options a good powder coating shop can give you . . . pretty much any colour or finish, usually at a reasonable cost too

hmmm... anybody know how much to powder coat a set of springs? I went to their site and it looks pretty good. I can't call them 'cause I'm at work and it'd be long distance.

Yea, unless you're pulling the wheel off at shows to show your chrome drive shafts, steering components and everything else, then powdercoating might be worth it.

(in other words, no one's gonna see them so why bother) Besides, most springs come with a coating on them already.

Yeah - it wouldn't be for show. It'd be essentially to reapply the powdercoat on the springs to get rid of some surface rust and to stop further deteriorating.

You guys are figuring this'll be more than $100? (yes, I'm clueless)

... just checking out what my options are...

I would - but I'm long distance and can't call while at work (when they're open!) I did send them an e-mail but haven't heard anything.

If anyone needs powdercoating done, get in touch with me and I can get a pretty good deal on that sort of stuff. I deal with powdercoaters all the time for work.

the guy said its sometimes easier to powercoat the entire wheel then have ab wheel repolish the lips but i don't like that idea

so i'm having them mask the lips off doing the coating and if the lips need some love i'll polish them myself with all the sandpaper i have left over from my manifold and i'll have them looking like chrome
How do you polish the manifold? what grit sandpaper are you talking about? I would like to polish my manifold as well.

Sorry to change the subject but I have been wondering about this for a while.
