Is this worth the money? I think the cheapest I found the air filter for the 1.8T is $70. I've heard about ITG air filters but still havent found anyone in Calgary that sells them.

Due to the fact I had TWO MAF changed under warranty on the Jetta. The VW MAF unit is so fragile. I can tell you not to go with K&N but foam filter. Currently my B5 and A4 both breathe with K&N panel. They seems OK now.

My Amsoil FOAM filter has contaminated my MAF last summer ..
After spending $350 on a new MAF I went back to stock paper.

Don't overoil your K&N, I've gummed up a Ford MAF with an overoiled K&N. No big deal, remove MAF, spray with carb cleaner, replace. Clean filter, don't overoil and all is good and back to normal. Car developed a lot of hesitation when the MAF was sending the wrong signals.
I think they're ok given this guidance, I don't suppose dealers like them on warranty vehicles much though...
my evo cai hasn't killed my maf or given me any troubles and i've used it 6000 of the now 7200 on my car.. had it for 5 months.. its rad.. problem with them killing mafs is people when cleaning over oil them..
