Window tint question...again

Hey guys, just a quick question for everyone. Looking at getting my windows tinted here soon. What i'm wondering is that i want to go dark, around 25% but don't want to chance the tickets.....so i was thinking 25% on the back 5 and 35% on the front 2.

What is your guys thoughts on this or should i just go with 35% all around?

Mixing up tint looks weak IMO. I think that 35% all around is perfect.

Agreed. Don't mix it up. And I wouldn't worry about tickets. A cop isn't going to notice a difference between 25 and 35 so just go darker if that is what you want. I have 25% all the way around and have yet to have a problem.

yup... keep it the same, I have like ~%25 back and non in the front (car came like that) and it looks WEAK!

Werd, I bought the car with 25% in back and something like 35% in rear windows and none on the front (supposedly were stripped during a tint ticket incident) , and it looks weak too. I plan on having it either all stripped off or all stripped off and redone to match.

imo mk4's look way better w/ tint. but mk2's/3's look better with no tint

lol tint is needed IMO.. keeps heat and prying eyes out

i'd probably go 25% all around.. i like my 35 but it could be a bit darker..

I was going to go with 35 all around when i was gettin mine done but ended up with 20 and i wouldnt ever change it now.

where have you guys got your tinting done in calgary?

i am looking to get some clear rock guard film done as well... who do you recommend?

One thing I like about Ontario...I can have tint on my front windows!!! 20% all around...

No tint on the front windows at all in NS . . . the cops like enforcing it too. My Jetta has the rear tinted out (bought it like that). Funny story - I was pulled over by the cops late one night on my way home from work because I had no plate (temp permit in the front window). Fair enough . . . he was doing his job. Anyway, all my papers checked out and when he was handing them back to me he made a comment about my tint.

"We don't like that very much," he said.

"Is that so?" I asked, smiling the whole time. "Well, I don't like being hasselled for not breaking any laws on my way home from work."

He chuckled and went back to his car.
