  • Rear bumper removal

I have searched here and vortex for a diy removal guide for the rear bumper and havnt found anything. Anyone have any info for me before i start to take it off this weekend to get its re-paint? Im hoping its as simple as the front bumper.

It's not. On the Golf's at least you need to remove the rear tailights the first time as there are some 1-time use pin's. Dunno about jetta's.

Its not as easy, pretty sure you need to remove tails as Simon suggested.

Once you take the tails out, it is actually pretty easy. And don't worry, you'll probably get 90% done and then realize you missed about 10 little screws! Just make sure you get everything so your not pulling the threaded screws with the bumper.

By the way, I saw your car on 17th last Saturday (SCN) and it looks sick with those wheels! I really wanted to get those, but I'll have to find something different now. We can't have two black jetta's with Supermesh's now can we.
