  • God damn it... turbo go poof!

So I am heading to pick up my new bed for the new place when all of a sudden I hit limp. I am so "ok just restart and it will go away" nope it doesn't. So I limp it back to my work and I can hear a large fizzing sound when I give it any throttle. So I pull one of the IC hoses and there is a pile of oil in there even after I just cleaned it all a month ago The engine idles fine so I hope the head is ok but I think the oil seal partically failed or something else is wrong that I have no idea about. I am sooooo pissed right now as I have no way or time (or $$ for that matter) to deal with this!!!

It is really sad. I think my Jetta TDI will eventually run into stuff like that. I should have a onboard stop watch from now.

Sorry to hear brent, but it might make you feel better to know that I was snooping around on vwdov and there is someone selling a VNT15 used right now. I'll see if I can find the link.

Thanks for the link Jason, I looked at that one last night as I saw it for sale on the TDIclub last week. If Bart doesn't get back to me soon I am going to go ahead and buy that one since I need my car! I would go VNT-17 but I don't have the time or money to get it up and running. The good thing is that my car was low on oil (due to another small leak) so I think the head is ok but it is hard to tell right now.
