They are right now red, But I think i'm gonna try to polish them this summer just for something to do.

I used to own a red car, and I painted the calipers red with that 'Colormatch' spray paint from Crappy Tire...it holds its own pretty well - a couple touch-ups every spring, but nothin' big. I haven't gotten around to paintin' the calipers on my new car yet, but I imagine I'll go with a 'Satin black' as I know that looks supremely clean

Red just painted them last night. I have a silver gti, my black gti has red as well. I used caliaper paint on ths silver mk 4 and the mk1 had them red when I bought it.

yeah, I think I'm going to go with red. At least my taillights are red, so it'll match

Plus, when I bleed my brakes again in 2 years I can always change the color to something else less bling
