Re: Whatcha doing to your car 2k5 thread.

    Hmmmm . . .

    1)Phatnoise (done)
2)Tires (Hankook H4s - OK in dry, pretty damn good in the wet)
3)Drop or exhaust (so much butta', but not enough $bread$)
    4)Boost guage
    5)Joey mod
6)MAYBE powder coat the inside portion of my RXII's (not sure if it's worth it on 16's)

I'm probably done with this car. We'll see what happens. The break ins really dampened my spirit. But regardless, I was thinking of changing cars fairly soon anyway.

Re: Whatcha doing to your car 2k5 thread.

Well, I think this year is going to be pretty lean in terms of mods on the VW. The closest thing to a mod I will do are new tires as I am down to about 40% after 50,000 km, which is not too bad considering how I drive.

I'm lookin at some spacers and trying to stuff some 245/50/16's in.

I think I am still at about 70% pad on the brakes but if I have to do those I'll put on some Hawk or EBC pads.

I've spent too much on the other projects so far and I'm considering tearing down my garage and putting up a biggerer one.

Sounds like a few people are looking to buy new cars. I proposed the idea to my wife last night of buying something quite a bit newer than what we drive now. Who knows, she might even go for it.

Hah, me too, at least I used to. I think My Golf is almost the longest I've had a car in like 5 years.

Yea, I have had mine for just over 3 years now. I still love it, but I saw a black A3 on the deerfoot yesterday and that looked even better. Also looking into a future that might include an MKV GTI, or perhaps if I'm lucky a used RX8. The RX8 is nice, but I'm still questioning the mileage and wear and tear of an engine that revs to 9000.

I love your car, can't imagine why you'd want to sell.

Thanks It's not that I want to sell, as I can't afford a new car right now anyway. I'm just one of those guys who likes to mix things up every now and then.

                              So far this year I've:

                              Added a Phatty,
Gone from steelies to BBS RCs with Pirelli Pzero Neros.

Mods for the rest of the year consist of hauling whatever materials and tools I need for my ongoing condo renos. If I'm lucky, drop with the autotech kit.

BBS RC's, look so good on a white car. Autotech, you will be very happy.

oh, and one last thing. I think you should giver up top and see what happens.
