  • Door lock stopped working…

Went to open the drivers door today and the key would not open locks… normally I hear the motor turning open the locks, but today there was nothing. Any ideas? mmm… Dave?

I believe mk3s are vacuum actuated so you may have a cracked line or a bad pump.

if the paddle broke the cylinder should come out of the handle...
try passenger door or rear trunk lock..
      could be the latch itself..

Take your door panel off and poke around, it could be something ovious

              Help!!!

If you need a hand swapping it out, let me know.
So turned out that looks like it was it!

Now I got home last night and locked the door on the passenger side, as I still need to pick up some parts for the door. Came out this morning and now the passenger side lock would not unlock all the doors! (just its side) Would this be because I removed the parts [21-24] on the drivers side door?

Also when I went to lock the door after I got into work (parked in the bottom of my building today) I must have done it in the wrong order as my alarm is going crazy (left a door open, something like that)!! I had to take the battery off to shut it up, how can I deactivate the alarm?
