I can't belive this, now its twice in a week that our car was broken into. This is almost becoming funny. Well to me anyway, the wife is at her wits end. She wants to sell it now. 
The thieves didn't manage to take anything this time, we were smart enough to take everything that wasn't bolted down out of the car. They did however manage to break the retainer on the lock cylinder(x2 now), the retainer on the cylinder(special order apparently), the window track clips and they managed to put a bunch of stains on the rear seat which I can't seem to remove.
.....to make matter worse the wife has to drive a Ford Focus wagon till the Golf is fixed.
. That thing is a true piece of enginering excelence. Not. It will at least give her an appreciation of the fine German quality in the Golf.
Needless to say we were planning on moving in the next few months but this has sped the proccess up a bit.
