Wow bump from 2005. Saw pictures on facebook. Car looks good.

A lot of people don't like VW's but they are usually the ones who haven't met the people that back the cars and the community that surrounds it.

Agreed, I'd say it was the car that brought me in but the people are the reason I've stayed.

I'll be getting a non vw next year, but I doubt I'll be active in there clubs as there is nothing quite like the vw community!!

mileage (fuel economy) only

sat in a Jetta & golf (back seat) at the time (golf had more head room at the time)
didn't bother starting one up or driving it, just factory ordered the golf TDI

still running fine 8+ years later, other than a turbo, and the usual VW electrical issues you will be guaranteed to get.
