  • Where to get touch-up paint?

    Guys and Gals:

Many, many years ago, during one of the many times my brain has left for a vacation, I decided to go skiing in BC, and took my Jetta through the Roger's Pass in Dec. With all the gravel, rocks, etc. that was put down on the roads, I aged my car 10 years, and really banged up my mags. My '88 Jetta has dark grey paint on the inside of the mags. Any ideas on where I might be able to get a small tube of matched paint, so I can TRY and touch up all the chips that are still there today??? Any help you can give me would be appreciated, as nothing is too good for my "baby"!!!!!

Stealerships sell pre mixed touch up paint. I believe when I picked up mine it was ~$15 (don't quote me on that).

not to sound like a Splash whore or anything, but I know they match and mix paint and are a really good local shop. GIT_VR6 is getting his car painted there I think, and I have gotten my many accidents fixed there. Tell them Russell strongly recommended them (Splash).

Crappy tire typically has a good selection if you know the paint code.

true story, but I really do think they do good work... and when I messed up my first car they fixed it really cheap because of how young I was and went out of there way to fix parts rather then making me buy new parts I really did not need.

I also will be having then re-spray my car next month.

Also there has been 2 post asking for info...

I'm going to want a re-spray soon myself, you should get them to sponsor the club if they do good work, some kind of discount or whatever maybe. Then at least whoring them is justified
