Re: Review: Shipping to Sweetgrass Montana

    OK, shipping rookie here.

I'm likely getting a set of USED seats. Shipped direct, is there still a brokerage fee? What about GST at the border considering it's a private sale?

Anybody ever fit 2 extra front seats in the hatch of a Golf.....or do I need to find something bigger to pick them up with?

Well I would say you will still have GST on the seats even though they are used, only if things are a gift is there no GST.

As for the seats, if you take your backs fully out you can fit the other ones in.

Re: Review: Shipping to Sweetgrass Montana

I bought used wheels and I did NOT pay GST on them when I came back across! I declared them used and I showed a print-out from the auction on e-bay and the person let me go (I did pay GST on the new tires that I picked up).

I paid duty on both the wheels and tires.

No, there is no brokerage of course!

It took me about the same amount of time, 6 hours including a gas station stop. I needed more gas though, I used about a tank and a half.

As for savings... I figure it cost me about 70 bucks plus my time, and I saved maybe 500 bucks or so.

I think that there is a FedEx place in Sweetgrass as well, but I dont know if they will accept & hold your package.

As for the UPS place, you can ship to them via any means I think, whether it be UPS, USPS or FedEx, just get the sender to mail the package to the adress of the UPS place in Sweetgrass. Really though in the US, UPS is likely the cheapest & easiest.

            The place is

ok i gave them a ding, $3/day up to 3 items off a UPS truck. they take fedex and stuff too... also, $16.50/week for freight, so really big stuff on palettes. they won't notify you if you have no tracking info, but you can call everyday and ask if its in.

If you can, try to get the shipment to arrive at the warehouse on a friday.....that way you can pick it up monday with no daily charge (they aren't open weekends), that's what I did and I didn't have to pay a cent!

You couldnt of told me about this option before I ordered my clutch? I hate the fees I pay for ordering. I do need new tires and shocks so I will have to try it out. This also saves me time from driving all the way to Oregon to visit family to pick up my orders.

Looks like I'm heading down next week to pick up my wheels. Gonna be a long round trip to come back and go to work! Better make some good cd's to listen to I guess. that and lots of coffee.

If I leave at 5:00 in the morning, when would i get there? Keep in mind I drive MK2 TD so I'd only be doing 110 mostly.

Looks like I am getting some other pieces mailed to the same place, but they apparantly use a special po box number. I will post it up if it works. fingers crossed.
