Last week I was about to leave for work at 7:40 am. When I got to my car (04 jetta) I noticed a big x on my pass window. I moved to the drivers side and that window was also xed. 2 doors down from me 3 domestic vehicals were broken into. (Windows broken) I could also see impact marks on both windows of my car. This makes me believe that VW uses a higher quality glass than domestics. Does any one know if this is the case, or am I just lucky they didn't break?

What do you mean an "X"? Maybe thieves marked cars with car alarms.

Originally posted by SilverfireI doubt they would do that to weaken it since tempered glass can be shattered in less then a second with a spring loaded centre punch or any pointed object with some weight behind it. Ive broken lotsa glass.Rob
