Will the anti-freeze/spray 9 work on sap that's been on there for a long time or just if it's fresh?

Long time too....may take a few minutes longer, but it works....I found the best way is to find each bit of sap, spray a little on, rub LIGHTLY with your finger, and the whole thing will eventually dissolve.....crucial that you wax after this too, spray 9 is pretty harsh.....On a side note, spray 9 works fantastic for bugs too!
