Does anybody have any suggestions for buying a helmet? I sort of like my face and my undented skull.

It sounds like a number of us want to get started at Auto X, maybe we should see about a group discount on the helmet buy?

Can somebody just reassure me that my very stock tires (Goodyear Eagles), while not ideal, won't be a total disaster? I'm looking around for some reasonably priced, second hand tires to use but I am not notorious for my patience and I'd like to get onto that track asap. Thanks.

yea i'll be doing it next week, i think it'd be cooler if there were more NVDers. As for tires and rims i'm saving up and i'm gonna buy suspension at the same time i buy rims and tires. but for now i'm gonna run my gigantic stock tires. my advice is get there early because i had to wait in the tech line for like 2 hours.

I seem to recall that Zap Brannigan suffers from a sexy disorder called sexlexia. Not sure if it can be transmitted via helmet, but perhaps we shouldn't find out.

you can rent helmets for $5 it a good idea to take **** outta your trunk too

racing with stuff in your trunk is the best.. first time i did 1/4s at race city i had my golf clubs.. lap top.. steel toe boots and some other crap back there.. w00t

haha i had a superstore green bin with a couple cd's and cases and jumper cables, haha all the cases and cds broke and there's some nicks and scratchs all over the trunk.

Right on! Where can I get a helmet for a 70 pound Labrador retriever puppy? I'm sure he'll love being unsecured in the back with the seats down! He keeps asking to drive, he's got to start learning sometime.

Did the laptop survive? Golf clubs and steel toe boots are worthy adversaries.

yea lappie was fine.. i go through about 3 laptops a year.. not cuz i break them but because i always upgrade myself

Hey Simon, I'm hoping you can come with me around the track and help guide me through. I know when you took me for a spin last year in Red Deer I had a hard time following the cones.
