    Re: Spit and Polish

Count me in as another Mequiar's user!!!

I was using Mother's products, but after seeing some Mequiar's ads on Ch. 48, decided to try the Gold Class wax. Was suitably impressed, and also switched to the Mequiar's rubber and vinyl spray, although I didn't like the way the product always dripped down the sprayer handle, so ended up emptying the Meguiars into a Mother's spray bottle, as it didn't drip like the Mequiar's bottle did. When they introduced the NXT generation products, I got a catalogue sent by Mequiar's with a a $15 coupon inside--I got the NXT Generation wax for about $6 US, as it was $14.99 US in the catalogue, which covered the shipping and handling). I see it is now $30 at Crappy Tire. I also switched over to the NXT Generation rubber and vinyl spray, and like the way both products work!! NO ONE uses more wax and rubber and vinyl spray in a year on a VW than I do, I'd like to think!!!

      Re: Spit and Polish

I swear by Meguiars for their Endurance tire polish. But I went with Zymol this time around for wax. I just picked up a bottle at partsource and will probably do my car on the weekend. Also picked up some turtlewax spray bug & tar remover to try and get rid of the tree sap stains once and for all.

For the sap stains use a clay bar, they lift off everything, best things ever.
