  • MKIII GTI vs 1.8T golf vs 94 Prelude

So we were all lined up at glenmore and elbow. We took off and initially I destroyed the MKIII VR6 GTi and the prelude. So we keep going and the prelude just fades away in my right mirror and here comes the VR6!! I had him beat for quite a while but his long term power got the best of me haha dumb Honda was out of his league.
I own a luxury econobox..is that an oxymoron?

You should be able to keep up with a Mk3 VR, no? I raced a couple of buddies of mine in a new 24V GTI, and was eating them up in the top end. He had me off the light, but i was gaining hard on him at the end. More room and i would have passed him.

On my old golf? I had intake and cams, then I noticed how it really didnt do much on the 2.0 so I stopped modding. On my new golf? Well lets see.. I had the car for a week and its been sitting in Manitoba at the VW Dealership the last 2 weeks... and last time I checked.. I can't mod it while its up on their hoist...

I find that getting power out of an N/A motor is too hard and too much money. Been their, done that. Hairdryers are the ticket.

Although, one day I'd like to build another civic into a track car.
