I dropped my keys the other day and by some freak chance the loop broke off (plated plastic, so maybe not so chance but more an engineered revenue stream).
Called the dealer and they claim I have to replace the entire remote portion of my key ($125).
When I opened the remote portion of my key I found that the battery and the loop are both housed in half the enclosure, and the remote chip is located in the other.
Anyone know if I can simply replace either the loop (looks like it is set during plastic injection), or can I replace the half of the enclosure that I need?
