So...the day finally came, I've had the suspension + wheels/tires since December and have just been waiting to install them.
Parts are as follows:
19x8 Axis Neos w/ 225/35/19 Falken Ziex 502's (wheels from Bob@CMS and got the tires from "Altezza" on beyond, both were great guys)
FK 35/40mm (f/r) shocks+springs (purchased at Concept 1)
Pretty sure I'm the first TDI in Calgary on 19's...w00 hehe
I really wasn't expecting the car to drop this low, purchase the kit for a moderate drop and got exactly what I wanted...looks SICK!! I was kind of worried the last couple weeks since I felt it wouldn't be low enough but now that its all said and done I'm really pleased with the 35/40 kit...the drop is just perfect.
Me and my brother installed everything, rear suspension took around an hour total and the fronts took around 4 hours.
Car looks straight up gangster, especially at night time Been getting looks all over
My Maf sensor had also failed so I got a new MAF but used one from a 2.0, car has its performance back and now pushes out a nice plume of smoke when at full throttle Definately a noticable increase in the amount of smoke under full throttle...I don't mind it at all though Smoke clouds are just one of the many benefits of driving a diesel hehe
And the moment you've all been waiting for....enjoy these pics and let me know what you think of the car!
Thx to everyone who gave me recommendations on the many questions I had before purchasing suspension, your help was truly appreciated.
Before: Had a 5 finger gap ALL AROUND...car looked like a freakin 4x4
After: 1 finger gap on the fronts and 1.5ish on the rear with an empty tank of gas....so naaice
