Wastegate Actuator question

Who has fooled around with this? I believe you can do it on our 1.8T's not sure if DBW makes a difference. I know Forge is releasing there 5 stage adjustable spring version for the actuator.

Turning it towards the passenger side opens the gate a little sooner. Turning it towards the driver's side opens it a little later. For me, turning it about 1 turn towards the passenger side helped with surging a bit.
