      Re: body kit advice

I'll let the experts chime in but I think fiberglass is not what you want for around this contry, it's flaw being that it cracks and gets stress fractures and whatnot and after a while looks a little worn. But I could be wrong.

I like the front bumper though.

        Re: body kit advice

At Jason already said, Fiberglass has some drawbacks. Generally it is less precisely made, and so the fit of the body kit pieces will be "off". For example, the seams will not be lined up with your body panels. It is also harder to shape and generally will cost more to have installed for these reasons. Next, it is more likely to crack, especially on small impacts and at extreme temperatures.

Some companies these days have more advanced fiberglass materials, using a lot of plastics and creating a more durable kit. However, other companies, especially the cheaper/knockoff companies make infamously fragile pieces.

I do like the look of the front a lot, good luck with your decision!

                Re: body kit advice

Companies I know of that make the eurethane/plastic kits:

                Rieger
                Projektzwo (discontinued)
                Caractere
                Zender
                Votex (VW OEM)
                Emphase

Not sure about these but do the research:

                Effekten
                Konigseder
                Hofele
                Freedom Designs
                Dubtechnik
                Kerscher
                Erebuni (knockoffs)

You open up more options if you consider changing to a Golf front on your Jetta (very possible).

How about Caractere kit, the rear is not very low. We use Caractere front and side on our cars with a Rieger rear. But they don't get winter driven, so the low Rieger back is not an issue.

Have you ever used the Caractere front with other sides? Just curious.

PS the TSW wheels in the 2nd pic rock!
