I got mine done today along with my overheating issue (which turned out to be a faulty temp sensor). When they took out the hazard switch, it looks like they used a big screwdriver with no consideration to the console area and ended up putting a small gouge in it. SCFC is going to get a very pissed off call from me tomorrow morning. Keep an eye out for this after you get yours done.

Re: Warning to those getting the VX hazard switch recall
The last recall I went in for was the brake switch one...and when I got my car back the #$%^'ers at the dealer scraped up my lower trim piece (the one that's above your knees).
I called and complained about the utter lack of respect for customers cars, and all I got was "can you prove it wasn't there when the car was brought in?"
My advice: take a digital picture of your hazard switch (and surrounding area) before the service and leave it on your camera. If your trim is f-ed up afterwards, you've got dated evidence!
I'm never taking my car to the dealership again without taking pictures first :( (don't even get me started on what the buggers did to my paint...) No respect. :(Last edited by Flanders; 04-20-2005, 05:29 PM.1.8T

Re: Warning to those getting the VX hazard switch recall
I went in today and they're bringing someone in on Monday to repair it. I assumed they'd just replace the panel. Whatever, as long as it looks perfect again. I really don't like the new indicator sound -- it's cheap and hollow and loud. I probably just have to get used to it.Yuval

Re: Warning to those getting the VX hazard switch recall
I had mine done at SCFC a couple days ago, wasn't planning on getting it done after reading this post but all of a sudden my signals just went kaput for a good week or so. Turn on the signals and they just stayed on....no blinking so it was time for a change.
Went to SCFC and had it done while I watched/chatted in the service drivethrough area, it was in and out in a matter of minutes. No scratch or anything, they pop out the empty slot next to it I believe to access it.
The new sound is well...cheapo sounding as uv said but I kind of had to get it done so whatever.
