Is the seast recall for leather only ? I have not seen anything yet, but I have a feeling the guys in lethbridge lost my new address and phone number. I am going to call them this afternoon.

If I bought a car again, I would get the cheapest cloth seats then put in aftermarket seats immediately.

Its hard to justify the switch from heated leather to cloth racing seats, but the switch from cloth OEM seats to cloth racing seats is easy.

Cloth aftermarket seats are way more comfortable for long trips and short quick trips

Ugh, the factory leather is garbage for long trips. Espically the back seat (from what I've heard haha, constant complaints, even on a short trip up to edmonton with 3 friends in the back..all they did was say their ass was numb!)

really?? i never have back passengers in my car maybe once or twice in the 2 years i've had it now. I almost fall asleep in my seats on long trips lol. I like them but I'd burn them in 2 seconds for recaros anyday

Ya, your's have decent bolster, the back seats in mine are in really good shape, but not comfortable. I sat in mikes back seat on a trip to vancouver (well, most of the trip anyways) and had no problem.

with the recall you don't get new seats, all they do is fix a short. i could use new leather in the front though mine's all wrinkled

I realize that.. what I meant was If my seats catch fire from the heater then VW would have to give me new seats (or covers) which would be sweet.

also guys it shouldnt matter what number u use the seats at if theres a current, then a shorts gunna happen if it was made wrong. it wasnt the heat of the seat that caused the problem
