    WHY UPS Sucks

    So UPS comes with my Phatbox to reception in my building, I don't have my credit card on me, so the driver hands me the customs and (whopping!!) brokerage bill (total $62.83) and takes my phatbox and leaves!! I asked him to hang on for one minute to get cash and he said no.

    What a jerk!!!

    $62!!!! WTF?? How is it possibly that much money!?! ****! I should have just bought one in Canada.

      Yea, from what I've heard, UPS has outrageous brokerage fees. When I shipped Fedex, brokerage was only 35 bux and my stuff cost about the same 150US.

        I can go on and on about how much I hate UPS. They sent me a bill for a free electronic sample (there should have been no duty etc) which I told them to shove it so they sent me to collections for $20 (funny that was the value of the item too). I even phoned customs and they said they where against UPS getting their own brokerage but lost.

          I refuse to buy anything anymore from the states if they use UPS....They are the worst for brokerage fees... I won a ebay item for $4.99 and the broker fee was $49.50... wtf?

              UPS is a joke. I just wouldn't pay that $62.
              Sidewalks are for normal walkin.... aint no room for fancy walkin....

                  i coudn't agree more 2 years ago when i bought my car the first item i bought was my CAI it costed 180US and the duty was 120CDN!! i got pwnd bad

                        haha funny story i had some parts shipped 2 years ago right before i moved and they gave me a bill after i received the items i never paid and moved.. i ordered stuff in the future and they didn't say anything about the past non payment because they can't prove i'm the same person.. i learned them good

                          USPS is the best, followed by FedEx. Unfortunately, UPS is a lesson you learn once yourself. They are the cheapest when not crossing borders which is why US stores use them.

                            USPS is the best by far but will not handle larger items. I have had some bad UPS experiences but last year I got 3 sets (12 tires) of Toyos sent from the states and the charges were only like $300 so I guess it can depend. I think the problem is there brokerage charge is a flat $40 fee or something so on small items it can kill you.

                              Last time I ordered something personally it was $80usd shipped, and somehow they charged me $38cdn for the brokerage, plus duty and gst.
