Last Friday I was crusing down to the mall when an old guy decided not to check his mirrors and turned into me. I've filed my police report, got my quote from the body shop and he has already paid to fix my damages (didn't go through insurance, the guy was nice and offered to pay).
One little thing I thought about was to shave the rub strips off my doors. That'll be a little bit extra I'm willing to pay, but the problem is that I have the other side of the car in perfect shape, and I'd have to shave off that side of the doors in order to get it to match, which will cost over $1000. So I think i'll just get it fixed back to normal. I just don't see it really being worth that kind of money to do such a thing.
And I'm fine, nothing happened to me or my passenger. Car enters the shop on Monday.
