Rattling Sun Shade!!!

Here's a topic! How many ppl have a sun shade rattle when they have it open? Mine rattles like hell and I even had the sun shade replaced (warranty) and it's still rattling. Drives me nutz. I'm running stock suspension too. ugh.

Mine rattles alot, I think it is due more too the 2 12's in the trunk though

you mean the sun visors or sun roof cover ? if so neither of mine do although nothing in my car rattles

Mine is silent, but Jaime' ta Femme's is kind of noisy.

My whole car is kinda noisy...although that squeak form the sunroof we heard last time we were cruisn around went away after that night and hasnt come back yet.

Now all the noise inside the cabin is being drown out by queens of the stoneage or tire noise so I could care less

If you have a sunroof and hear a rattle, here is how to fix it.

1. Open the manual sunroof release panel
2. Inside there will be a small metal tool. Remove the tool.
3. Replace the release panel.

Mine was rattling like hell so I took it out.

I'm pretty sure it's coming from the rear side of the sun roof (if that made sense?). It rattles all winter long. Summer not really too bad except if it's chilly in the morning. If I apply a bit of pressure to the sun shade/visor sliding thing-ma-giggy it stops. If the techs can't fix it (for the 5th time I've brought it in) I think I'll just take it out.

Man, i'm jelous...Something around the passenger window seal rattles in my car occasionally too. Hah, kinda sux to be me I guess. Maybe I should just spray the inside with WD40 and let it do it's magic.

LOL Kris the topic of smearing random lube makes me feel like some of us need to go to church
