Ok I have two remotes so I'm ok on that score. I like warming up my car on cold mornings and I was told I couldn't put in a remote started with my MK4. Do you Guys know anything about this?

yea i always get emails from friends saying 'warning people are writing down VINs and getting keys cut at dealers and stealing your car!'

I got that e-mail too, and immediately called Northland VW, asking if that someone wrote down MY Vin no., that I hoped no one at Northland would cut them a key. They assured me that they need the registration, plus picture ID, before anything could happen. No one gets my "baby" that easily!!

That wouldn't work for me, the Vin is etched into ALL my glass, sides, rear you name it. That's a good idea for those that don't though.

heh, VW didnt sucker me in for that one!

They didn't sucker me either, but whoever originally bought my car sure did, I can't remember how much they charge for that but it's down right criminal.
