Re: Side strip spealing back
The best thing to use is 3m double sided tape. The stuff VW gives you is useless. But you have to make sure you clean the area really good. Also, if it's starting to go you'll probably want to address it fairly quickly because if the wind catches it just right it'll fly off and rash the crap out of it and then it looks really ugly (which is why I now have all textured ones, well that and for old school goodness, heh).Jay

Re: Side strip spealing back
i thought about taking mine off and having them sprayed with that truck bed liner stuff. The balck looks cool on non black cars, and no more door dings by other idiot drivers!!The world has but three sports, Bullfighting, Mountain Climbing, and Motor Racing. All the rest are merely games - Ernest Hemingway.

The real textured ones for me were under 300 bucks even after shipping and exchange rate from the US, it was a good deal, and they are the clip in kind (early MK3's) so they don't peel off like the colour matched ones.Jay

Originally posted by TDI DUBIt happens all the time on thoes cars, I would pull it off completly, remove all the old double-sided tape with some thinner or a body eraser and clean both sides really good. then re-apply it with the 3M goodness.Jay
