  • What mods to do now?

I just got a Upsolute chip... which other mods are good to get?

Should I get a new DV? before anything or go straight to a 2.5" downpipe and new catback exhaust and air filter?

    Whats faster a 2003 1.8T Tiptronic Upsolute chip vs a stock 2003 1.8T from 0-60 ?

Well I think since you are chipped you may want to get a diverter valve and an S4 N75 valve (I think). Exhuast will be good Brullen seems to be the fav in these parts, if you got bucks maybe check out a milltek (my fav) and you may want to get yourself some gauges to measure boost and such

SO you are asking whether a chipped tip is faster than a manual unchipped, well I would think the chipped should be faster for sure, tip does not slow you down that much.

If I were to do all my mods over again (i've spent about $8000+) i'd go:

      1.exhaust
      2.suspension
      3.brakes
      4.gauges
      5.big big BIG turbo

If I had the cash, I'd agree with sean. I'd probably go custom with a T04 Garret or something of that size, not huge but good for some good power numbers and 12's.

Another fantasy would be to try to wedge the 2.7TT in there somehow.

          Hey Pete,

Sounds like a great idea. I would love to show up to the next meet.

12 seconds.... mmm that would be awesome. So a chipped Tiptronic and A chipped manual are around the same times? Im sure the manual is at least .5 seconds quicker

Chipped is always faster than not. I'll take a chipped slushbox versus a manual stocker anyday. Auto does not kill 30+ hp. [Hmm]

i dont think you're going to get in the 12's anytime soon witha mk4. you need a huge turbo setup and some stripping of the interior for that.
