Just wondering how much time and money the Getta mod costs on a MK3

    Has anyone done this?

        Re: Getta

Thanks Mike, I did like the Golf front. On MK3s it is not too hard you need to change the lights and grill to golf parts. Then the hood is the big difference as the golf one comes down lower, I got around this by just running an upper grill spoiler. So it can be done cheaply and easily if you want but if you get nicer lights you also will have to hack the rad support or go euro. I would estimate mine cost around 1,000 - 1,200 to do including lights, paint and install.

You can see it for the final time tonight if you want as I am parting with it on Sunday

What about just getting a golf hood from C1 ($150 unpainted)
          Some golf head lights
And I have a badgeless grill for my jetta.... would I need a golf badgeless grill ??

I got the hood from C1, it fit good (I got a Jetta one cause i'm doing the opposite of you). Then if you wanna go the semi-cheap route you could buy some used golf lights or for a little more buy some GTI lights (requires a little modding).

You'll need a new grill for sure as they are quite a bit different, I however am in the market for a Jetta grill

To go REALLY inexpensive you could get the grill spoiler and some used golf lights and a grill.

You have quite a few options from very cheap to very extreme so it's totally up to you. Take a look at Blairs car at the meet tonight and see how you like it. He went with E-code headlights which is a bit pricier but looks really good, and different.
