  • Front Lower Tie Bars

    hey guys,

just wanted to know what your opinions are of the Neuspeed (or similar) front lower tie bar?

    see link:
    http://neuspeed.com/products/product...type=&p_id=125

do any of you guys have this installed? does it make a difference in steering feel? handling?

also, how about ground clearance issues?

    thx,
    eric.

    Re: Front Lower Tie Bars

These are a good idea, I have had good success with my Autotech one. I do get some scraping from time to time but that is why you should only get a steel one, not an aluminium.

This being said, I am putting together a package of an upper polished aluminium stress bar and an OEM S3 lower stress bar. The S3 one goes in roughly the same place but bolts directly into the subframe using OEM hardware.

The package price is going to be about $180 CAD

Before anyone says the upper stress bar is a waste of time, our cars do flex and there is a measureable change even when just jacking up one side. (We measured a 20th anniv at 6mm or so). Plus, they so make a nice bit of extra underhood shine.
