Hey guys, i've just stumbled accross this forum recently.
It's nice to have some local VW enthusiasts, i thought i was a dying breed here in Alberta. I'm from Edmonton bye the way, but travel to Calgary quite often.
I own two Jettas at the moment. A 1997 Sequoia Green GLS and a 1997 Jetta 1.8T painted escalade pearl white. This one is currently in on hiatus as i blew the differential on the 020 that i had bolted up to the AWW engine. So i am currently in the process of installing a 02A from a 4 cyl. Passat with a 1999 TDI Gear Set with 3.94 final drive and 80% shim kit. Also upgrading to the Autotech lightened flywheel and VR6 SACHS Power Clutch kit. I wanted to also get an LSD (Peloquin) in there however funds are getting tight and i might have to hold off till later on in the summer. Hopefully my car will be up and running by farfromhome!
I still got some other stuff to do like finish off my interior (MK4 dash swap) and swap out the 2.0 shifter assenbly for a MK3 VR6 cable shifter, and also adapt the cable clutch to a hydraulic setup. Lots of work, but it's fun and i'm learning quite a bit.

BTW: I live in Lewis Estates in Edmonton and always see a 25AE GTI (Yellow) bootin' around with a pillar mounted 42DD or AWE (Omori) gauge. I was wondering if that guy was a member?!?!? I wanted to find out if he was REVO'd or not. Looked pretty quick when i was drving behind him, i definately could not keep up with the winter 2.slow
