  • Brakes squeal in reverse

Forward braking has practically no sound, but reverse breaking causes one heck of a loud squeal - especially first thing in the morning, perhaps when they're damp. The car is new with maybe 300 miles.

I'm thinking this isn't going to go away on it's own. Is it normal? Is this a known problem with VW brakes?

    Thanks,
    TT

    Re: Brakes squeal in reverse

No big deal, Give the brakes a few quick hard stops and it should go away, its uasially caused from lots of light braking causing the pads to glaze up.
