      Re: CAI vs DROP IN

I was on the verge of pulling out my poly dogbone too, just cause of the drone in the cab...I missed that smooth new car feeling....I think its very tolerable now, I'm not sure if my intake was resting on a body part and transmitting all that vibration and sound to the structure, but it sucked (no pun intended!! )....I even have the ITG foam filter, which is far quieter than the cotton ones.....I mash the throttle, I hear a little whistle from the turbo, my SS howling, and nice acceleration now.....I can probably thank Chad for this, after that ride in his car, it was sooo clean sounding, I couldn't resist!

I don't even have enough time to mod, nevermind un-mod.

          Re: CAI vs DROP IN

Well I am going to go get a K&N filter and I am going to smooth the air box. It seems this will be a lot quieter and cheaper and this way I don't have to switch back and forth

Ha!! Stock airboxes are gonna PWN the CAI's! I started to smooth the airbox, and just did the bottom, I was lazy...I haven't decided what to do with my CAI, its just in my basement now......
