Hey guys. I just ordered a set of OEM votex side skirts online and was wondering where a good place would be to have them painted and installed? I asked Keith at Automation but he quoted me something crazy like 3 hours per side. I imagine the painting is cake and the install wouldn't be more than an hour total. Suggestions greatly appreciated.

Elite Autobody (Stephen), near Rudys. Tell him Simon sent you. Will probably quote you a bit more that Rudys and has that European way about him that makes you think he doesnt even want to do the work! Really funny character, great painter.

Positives about Rudy's:
- They gave me an AMAZINGLY low quote with our NVD discount
- They got it done on time in a hurry
- They stuck with the estimate
Negatives about Rudy's:
- One sideskirt fell off this winter
- Sideskirts were kinda glued on haphazardly
- Work on my bumper cracked a bit (was warned this may happen though)
- Paint on my bumper chips way easier than OEM did.
- Didnt properly sand rear valence.
For something simple, Rudy's for sure for the price.
Or if you're in a hurry, Rudy's too.
For something complicated, maybe not.
Lesson I learned is to be VERY specific about what you want even if its obvious.Last edited by Kor; 03-11-2005, 06:22 PM.KR

Re: Side skirt install?
rudy's is good check the job on my trunk and front end for results.. i think sometimes we've rushed them so some quality was sacrificed but if you give them time it'll look good..also if you have a complaint you can take it back and they will redo it or whatever..

Re: Side skirt install?
Body shops can do a good job on just painting panels, but a lot of time time fitting body kit pieces and doing work for the club requires extra knowledge... make sure to ask if they have done work in the past, especially if there is any sanding/gluing/etc involved!KR

Re: Side skirt install?
Rudy's did my custom rear and it came out really awesome. The front chipped really really easily though, and the sideskirts became ungluded a week after they were put on. (would have happened at any bodyshop, eventually had to get L brackets made to permanently put on)Simon
