I am sure if you bought them from Kerma that they will be .216's. You can find VNT-17 turbos on german ebay all the time for about $500 used of course. There is even a guy on the TID club that will recieve your package for you and reship it if the seller will not ship overseas.
Might want to wait and see if anyone can actually program an ECU to work with the higher boost from the VNT-17. Since the turbo is so similar to the stock TDI turbo (trust me there is not a huge difference) I think that only by increasing pressure quite a bit (and using an intercooler to keep the heat down) will you see big gains. Running a VNT-17 at the same pressure or even just a 1-2 PSI higher will probably not do anything. However, Bart tells me it is much heartier... if thats true then you can crank up the pressure to the limits of your internals, then put on a FMIC to drop the pressure a bit and increase the density.

Whenever I see an old lady slip and fall on a wet sidewalk, my first instinct is to laugh. But then I think, what if I was an ant, and she fell on me. Then it wouldn't seem quite so funny.

Steve if you like we can play with the IQ. I bumped it up a slight bit it was running @ 3.0 mg/G I thought it was a tad lean. There really isn't too much to play with, it's a trial and error thing. Anyhoo, Let me know if you need anything else done. I'm swamped this week but next week is up for grabs.
