OK . . . this is the second time that I've been out cruising around - both highway and city - and had my engine stumble while stopped at a red light. I had just exited the highway when it happened and i was driving just a tick above the speed limit.
I don't have access to a VAG-COM, so my question is two pronged:
1)Is there anything in particular I should check visually? (ie: a recalled part that may or may not have been replaced by the previous owner or maybe somebody else has had the same problem)
2)I've got a notebook . . . can I just get a harness and software to plug into the car and how much?
The engine is a 1.8T code AWW (2001) and the plugs are new. My mechanic ran a diagnostic before I bought the car and fault codes came back for misfires in all cylinders which was fixed by replacing the oh-so-worn plugs. I've noticed no loss of power through the rev range and no hesitation off the line.
