    Re: CF engine cover?

Isn't there a guy that posted on our forum recently that makes all types of carbon fiber pieces as well as engine covers and lives in Calgary? I would do a search as I am sure he will carbon fiber what ever you want. If you want to do stainless steel vacuum lines let me know

Hold off on the strut brace... I am working on some really nice ones for a reasonable price. These will be triangulated too! It could be a month before they are ready, but will be nice and shiney. If anyone believes our cars wont benefit from extra stiffening I will prove it when I get them done.

Ryan, any suggestions on paint for the engine cover? I imagine it'd have to be high temp. Maybe I'll do mine fire engine red and see if I can sand off the badges just for fun.

well personally i only put my cover, etc on for shows and rock without one the rest of the time.. i just used grey primer with filler, regular automotive paint and clearcoat and just took my time.. sanded and wetsanded the original black covers to smooth them out.. had alot of help from derick on this tho.. his cover is just like mine but black and german flag strips instead of silver/greyish ones
