A funny story -
One of the guys I work with who drives a 2000 Beetle noticed his car was leaking coolant inside the cabin behind the dash while on the Trans Canada in butt-f@(k New Brunswick.
He pulled off and, by chance, found a VW garage (not a dealership, just a VW 'specialist'). So, he waited and waited and waited some more while the specialist did his thing.
"I've found the problem," the specialist said to my buddy.
"Good," replied my friend, thinking this must be his lucky day. What are the chances of breaking down in the middle of nowhere and finding a VW specialist off the random exit you were forced to take?
"Yup," said the specialist, "I see this all the time."
"See what?"
"Squirrel pee."
"What?"
"Looks like a squirrel got up in your dash and took a p|$$. Don't worry, I've seen it a lot. Tough to fix . . . probably gonna require new wiring, fuse box, fuses and maybe you radio is shot."
Well, my friend couldn't believe his ears (much like I couldn't believe this story when he relayed it to me).
"Yup," said the specialist, "I smelled it and even tasted it. It's red and it's squirrel pee alright. It's gonna take some time to get the wiring components."
"F@K that!" said my friend. "Why don't I pop the hood and check the squirrel pee resevoir?"
Sure enough, there wasn't as much pee as there should be in the resevoir.
"Tell you what," said my friend. "Just sell me some pee and I'll be on my way."
After topping off the p|$$ pot, he took off.

Wow . .. all i can say is WTF?!!! That's a serious story. No wonder people are wary of mechanics. Guys like that make the rest of them look bad, bad, bad. I think I may have punched him right there and stolen as much squrrel pee as i could get my hands on. On the other hand, it takes quite a dedicated pro to taste squirrel p|$$, don't you agree? I don't question this story for three reasons -
1) My co-worker is standup . . . he's not a liar at all.
2) I helped him fix the leak when he finally got home (not a fun afternoon/evening).
3) How could you make that $h|t up?
