  • TDI Beetle?

    Heya,

A friend of mine was/is considering a TDI beetle. I've never seen one. Are there any special concerns about the TDI beetle, or any differences between it and the TDI golf?

Ask the mechanics if they like them.... The answer will be ..NO ...from what I have heard.. there is just no room to work on them...

Whenever I see an old lady slip and fall on a wet sidewalk, my first instinct is to laugh. But then I think, what if I was an ant, and she fell on me. Then it wouldn't seem quite so funny.

Engine-wise its the same. It is a lot tighter in there, so if they're a do-it-yourself mechanic type, or wanna do a lot of work under the hood, its more of a challenge due to the tighter space.

If one just does one's own oil changes, fuel filter, air filter, etc. there's no real difference.

New or used? If a used one then check for intake coking .

It turns out the car he was looking at was listed in the ad at 85,000 kms but has 185,000 kms, slight difference, now the price isn't quite so great.

I think the only engine available for 2005 is the 2L
