  • Please help me with a wheel question

If I have an offset of et-55 what kind of spacers/adapters would I need to run? Will a 20mil adapter put the offest back to et-35? I'm so lost and I need to know soon.

Please help, I will probably post this question on the Vortex too in hopes that someone can help me understand.

That seems correct Jason a 20mm spacer will bring the et55 to an et35, but depending on the width of the wheel and drop you may want to play with that a bit. You may want a 25 or 30 in the rear to push it out a bit but it would be up to you. What kind of wheels are we talking about here?

Thanks Blair, it looks like the adapters I need only come in 25 mil so I'd be at 30 whether I wanted to or not. that should be fine in the back I just hope it would be ok in the front. The fronts are 7" wide and the rears are 8" and they are 16" in diameter. I think it will be ok, just want to make sure because if I buy them and they don't fit, Then no wheels for me for a long time. I've been talking to Simon L a bit and I think it will work.

What offset are you running Blair?

As for what kind, well, they kind of look like an old phone dial

Edit: also, any other input would be appreciated.

I am running a 32 offset all round on 7.5 wides, but of course with a fairly big drop. You should be fine with 30 and 7s up front, in the rear you may need to get those fenders rolled and 16s with stretched rubber will help out too, but it will be hot so do it!!

really? You think I'd need to roll the fenders? That's pretty expensive....the wheels come with rubber but it's fairly chunky rubber (original size) so I guess it won't fit then. I'm not planning on lowering for a while yet so I'm not sure. Man so many decisions, so little money.

I am not sure on what size rubber is on there but my choices would be 205-40-16 front 215-40-16 rear. It would only cost you $100 to get the rears rolled if needed but you can always wait and see after the drop.

You can have adaptors of any size CNC'd I think, if we know anyone who has access to such a machine.

I dont think that would work that well 40 or 45 is best for 16s, but only one way to find out

Dont forget with adaptors you need a certain amount of metal for the bolts to screw into, strength and room for the heads of the bolts you are screwing into the OEM hup

Re: Please help me with a wheel question

Well I was supposed to go look at them tonight but I had to push it out until Saturday so I guess that will give me a little more time to figure it out. What I will probably end up doing is selling the rubber that's on there now (it's almost new apparently) and maybe buy different rubber. Thanks for all the input guys, I still think I will get them, it just may end up costing a little more than I thought.

On that note, if anyone needs any help getting ready for the show, I have nothing to do tonight anymore.....Just let me know. Otherwise I'll just end up wasting the night drinking Gingerale and playing NFSU2 either way I'm good

I may have already found a buyer if the tires don't fit
