been there done that.. i was so close to buying some this summer and they told me shipping to canada was going to be the price of the seats and the guy wasn't even interested in trying to figure it out so i said well if you don't want my money then so be it..

I bet if you were getting a few sets you could work out a special shipping deal using your own carrier to get them here. Nice seats Recaros rock!

i would do it too, but i dont want red, i want the grey ones, possibly blue, and of course they must be for a door, otherwise good luck sitting people in the back.

Originally that guy had some grey leather ones, I wanted to buy just one for my driver's side... I regret not doing it because now he only has beige. It would kinda be asymmetrical to have only 1 recaro on the driver's side and a regular VW leather on the passenger side, but I think it would still be okay...

for 1100 bux, do both...can't go wrong....If I could find a place to get it shipped to in the states (Chief Mountain Junction doesn't like answering their phone.....), I would go and pick them up, its an extra $143 in taxes and duty at the border.....not too bad for OEM recaros (in red of course), with heat and airbag....

For 1100 bucks, I would be very wrong buying seats, since that will easilly get me a turbo or intercooler...
