Is there noticeable improvements with changing this? I'm a newbie and not very savvy in these things. Please explain.

                        Thxs!

Yes, most have said that adding a rear sway bar to the Mark IV platform (Golfs and Jettas) is the most noticable and positive suspension upgrade you can make. Basically it will reduce understeer which in cornering makes you feel less like you are going to plow straight past the corner and crash. I guarantee that if you take some faster corners or exit ramps you will feel the difference!

Hmmm, sounds like something I want. I drove a '91 Maxima before I got my 2004 Golf TDI. I'll admit the Maxima isn't an agile handling machine, but I did feel more confident and steady in the turns. Since I've been driving the Golf, my biggest complaint is exactly what you describe ... feeling like I'm going to plow straight past the corner.

                            Thanks!!
