My wife's Jetta's turn signal stays on after making left turns & my wife pays no attention, and just lets it blink & blink & blink...the incessant ticking drives me crazy...anyone know how to replace a defective signal?

Re: Turn signals
Haven't come across that myself - does the signal arm pop back? Does it turn off if you turn the wheel far enough? Does it keep signalling until you turn the car off or can you cancel it? Obvious thing is the relay but I don't even know where that is (fusebox or behind the seat warmer switch?)

Re: Turn signals
As your fault is not car related perhaps you should try here.

Re: Turn signals
or perhaps an elastic band straped around the signal stalk so that it is forced to return to the centre

You need to change the turn signal relay(which is the hazard light button). It will only get worst. Cost about $60.

re-marry, it will be a short fix, then the same problem wii re-occur. For a permanent solution you must begin a full time taxi fund. The world has but three sports, Bullfighting, Mountain Climbing, and Motor Racing. All the rest are merely games - Ernest Hemingway.

Mind you. I got twice F-Ups on the same high quality relay switch made by VW.
The latest one I got is made in Czech.Republic. Moreover, including the stock one that came with my car. My car had gone through three sets of high quality switches. So, now I considered that is one of the regular maintenance item.

Re: Turn signals
[QUOTE=B5]^^ For the OLD days I guess..
but he says the flasher works, and it doesn't cancel when turning left. The stalk has to be manually returned to the no signal position, the relay has nothing to do with that (I think)
