Here is my final word:

We are and have been banning people. The internet is a public place. This is a public place. People are anonymous. There is only so much we can do, and I am not willing to just ban every new person without good reason.

I will use my best judgement, please do not escalate things with personal attacks...

Joined the site a few months back and made a couple posts.
Seemed to be unable to access the site for the past few months?

Was there some kinda IP ban on my ISP?

We banned a range of IP addresses a little while ago since we were having some problems with a few users.

However, you may also have had unrelated network problems.

If you're having trouble now, please email me and I will make sure you can access the site.

Thank You so much for taking the stand. I have issues with two forums over on another board with the Young guys posting Racist Slurs and such. I'm 35 and I don't feel it is appropiate for a VW Board.

Hey guys - maybe I should keep my mouth shut, but I'm gettin' a little worried here. I just read (a few posts back) that this is an 'Alberta only' site? Am I - a neighboring Saskatchawitch VeeDubber - not welcome here? That'd be a shame, as I've received some great advice from a few of you guys already, and there's no Saskatchewan Dub site. I rely on this site as a great fountain of info. for my modding purposes and have so far found the forums a great place to solve probs. Maybe I can just pretend to be an Albertan for the time bein'?

This site is Alberta based, not Alberta only. We just want to let people know where we are from but that does not mean people from elsewhere are not welcome. In fact anyone from anywhere is welcome to post on this board as we all share the common bond of the love for VWs new and old.

So please keep reading and contributing as we just want this to be a great place to visit and if you are ever in Calgary try and make it out to an event!!

Have I missed something over the past few days/weeks/months etc??

I had no idea that this was even a problem here.. for the most part all members that I have met are typically older and more mature then most other forums...

You are for sure welcome. I think the only time people really try to make it clear that the club location is in Alberta is when folks south of the border are trying to sell things or asking about pricing and availability on parts etc.

As Blair said, by all means feel free browse and post away! I think Nismodrifter is a part time stubblejumper from s'toon, also.

in reference to the name newveedub do we cater only to the mk3 and 4 guys? cause i have a couple friends interested in the club that i'd like to bring to the meet tonight, but they drive mk1's and mk2's are they welcome?
